Whistle It Sports Gloves was established in August 2014, by life-long Welsh Rugby Player, UKCC Level 3 Rugby Union Coach and WRU Level 2 Rugby Union Referee Brian Patterson. Brian started playing rugby at 11 years old and in 1975, at the age of 14 started playing for Glamorgan Wanderers RFC youth team. He played over 100 games for the youth team and was the top points scorer 4 seasons running. He continued playing for the Wanderers at senior level in over 200 games and in 1995/6 captained the club. Brian started referring in 2002 and has satisfied his passion for rugby by combining the roles of a coach and referee. Brian then played for and coached Rhiwbina RFC and Cardiff Harlequins RFC where he has coached the youth team for the past 9 years.

Brian’s life-long passion for the game and combined experience as a player, referee and coach were the driving forces behind innovating this new product that was not available in the current market place.
